Ready to add more to your Game of Thrones Blu-Ray collection? If you bought the Steelbooks for the first two seasons of the HBO hit series, it’s time to add seasons three and four to your library. Both new editions were released earlier this week.
“Each Steelbook showcases a specific location that is significant to that season and includes usable magnets on packaging featuring Game ofThrones sigils and symbols,” according to a press release. “Season 1 packaging featured Winterfell and Season 2 the Lannisters in King’s Landing. Season 3 will feature the magnet sigil of House Frey and their ancestral seat of the Twins – the location of Season 3’s infamous Red Wedding. The icy landscape of Castle Black and the Wall–where the brothers of the Night’s Watch fend off an army of wildlings from the far north–will grace the packaging of season 4 including a crow and Jon Snow’s sword, Longclaw as the featured magnet.”
Also, if great sound is your thing, these Blu-ray sets, along with great bonus content, also was released with the new audio technology Dolby Atmos, which “delivers sounds and music to specific areas in the room, including overhead, creating a captivating experience that puts the audience right in the middle of the action on screen.” Dolby Atmos AV receivers and speakers are required.
If the music business in the 1980s is more your thing, then HBO’s newer drama entry, Vinyl, is probably more your speed. The series stars Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, the founder/president of American Century Records, as he tries to save his flailing company (and his soul). The series also stars Olivia Wilde and Ray Romano and also is executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger and Terrence Winter is the showrunner. The first season is available now on DVD and Blu-Ray.
