Courteney Cox and Busy Philipps have reason to celebrate
(from The Hollywood Reporter)
Three out of four ain’t bad.
ABC has picked up a trio of its Wednesday night comedies for a full season, ordering the back nine episodes of “Modern Family,” “Cougar Town” and “The Middle.”
After three weeks, the shows have performed strong against significant competition during the latter hour of ABC’s newly formed comedy block.
No word on the fate of “Hank,” which has performed less well than its fellow ABC newbies.
Two weeks in, “Middle” is averaging 7.7 million viewers and a 2.4 rating. After three weeks, “Modern” averages 10.5 million viewers and 3.8 rating; “Cougar” averages 9.5 million viewers and a 3.8 rating.
