In this excerpt from tonight’s all-new Vanguard on Current TV, correspondent Christof Putzel speaks with Billy Roper, a leader of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Roper now resides with his family in Harrison, Arkansas, considered an epicenter for the modern day Klan. Putzel briefly traces the evolution and history of the Klan in Harrison and interviews Roper about why he decided to move there, and his plans for keeping the town a white majority. During the interview, Roper says, “I could not accept my daughter having mixed race offspring. I would no longer consider her to be my daughter.”

In this clip, Putzel talks to the young son of a leader of the KKK who produces his own video program—”A Show for White Kids.” In an effort to raise a new generation of Klan leaders and followers, this online program teaches racism to children, by children. While referencing Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog,” the child host says, “the princess is a black so that is good for all the black kids out there, but the prince is white. It is all about how race mixing is good, but race mixing is wrong.” It may seem less unusual when it’s factored in that he lives in Harrison, Arkansas, considered an epicenter for the modern day Klan.

Vanguard airs tonight at 9pm et/6pm PT on Current TV.
