Cheyenne Jackson is on a roll these days!

Is there anything that powerhouse talent Cheyenne Jackson cannot do? Whether he’s singing with Michael Feinstein on their new CD, performing eight shows week on Broadway or popping up for a multi-episode arc on arguably the best sitcom on television, Jackson is not only showing his versatility in terms of talent, but he’s building a larger legion of fans across multiple mediums.  I was able to chat with Jackson last week during a rare moment of downtime for the performer to find out more about his myriad of projects and, with his lover Monte sitting nearby, what the key is to the longevity in their decade-long relationship.

Jim Halterman: Your CD with Michael Feinstein, The Power of Two, just hit the stands last week. When you and Michael first performed together at Feinstein’s in New York City did you know immediately that you needed to do this CD?

Cheyenne Jackson: Not necessarily. When did the show together, we came to the table with different songs, we picked the through-line of the show [and] people really responded and we added dates. It was my idea to record it. I thought we put so much time and effort and money into it and so many people – my friends especially – can’t afford to go to Feinstein’s because it’s so expensive so I thought this would be a great opportunity to preserve it and then he ended up saying “Absolutely, let’s do it!” So we just jumped in and recorded it and it’s so good.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE
